This is a unique leadership development programme that provides a blend of rich insights from research on GCCs and practical knowledge from GCC leaders through a set of robust and rich pedagogical tools
India today houses over 1700 GCCs. By 2030 the number of GCCs is projected to grow between 2100 and 2200, with an employment base increasing from the present 1.9 million to between 2.5 and 2.8 million. GCCs are further expected to grow from the present export revenue of about 65 Billion USD to between 99 and 105 Billion USD by 2030 (Source: GCC Jobs India: GCCs projected to create up to 28 lakh jobs in India by 2030, ETHRWorld).
Riding on the twin foundations of low-cost talent and a mature supporting ecosystem, companies are increasingly turning to India to establish and grow their GCCs to provide significant value over and above mere cost-arbitrage. This may take the shape of enabling enterprise digital transformation, process re-engineering to become more responsive to customer needs, designing and building new offerings for their customers and even establishing centers for process and product innovation while nurturing and collaborating with India’s rapidly growing startup and research ecosystem. GCCs today are now contributing to developing capabilities that impact the market competitiveness of their parent organizations.
As was brought out in a recent GCC Leadership Roundtable conducted by IIMB, a key enabler for GCCs to continue to add value to the parent organization is the development of Global Leaders. GCCs are operating in complex globally dispersed matrix structures with evolving, and at times uncertain charters. Against the backdrop of these challenges is the need to find ways to manage a diverse group of stakeholders with varied expectations across different time zones. Aside from this is the need for them to hone their leadership and team management skills to attract, retain and lead teams across geographies and diverse cultures in a fiercely competitive talent market.
This programme has been conceptualized and configured to help GCCs build their next level of leadership and to enable them to drive higher value for the parent organization.
