EEP unveils 2nd batch of DSAI programme
In a world increasingly shaped by data and driven by artificial intelligence, the intersection of these two realms opens doors to unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Data Science and AI, is the space where raw information is transformed into actionable insights, and machines learn to mimic human intelligence.
As industries across the globe harness the power of data-driven decision-making and automation, the demand for skilled professionals in this field has skyrocketed. Proactively sensing this market demand, IIMB’s EEP department is delighted to inaugurate their hybrid 11-month programme on ‘Data Science & AI’ (DSAI) on the 23rd of February 2024. The programme is directed by Prof. Shankar Venkatagiri and Prof. Rahul De from the Information Systems Area of IIMB, who gave their orientation & context-setting introductory talks during the inaugural event.
The programme consisted of professionals from diverse industries, who were all keen to apply the technologies of Data science & AI in their official projects.
The course is split into 5 modules, which starts with the foundational knowledge of statistics & programming and moves all the way to the advanced applications of machine learning & big data, deep learning & NLP along with its impact on the scaling & transformation of today’s businesses.
The programme is designed to have multiple business case studies, guest lecture sessions from industry experts, complimentary MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), and live project work by applying concepts of data science and AI in the participant’s field of work.
