Managing in today’s dynamic and competitive environment calls for two critical capabilities from Business Managers – The need to be functionally competent in a global context and The ability to set and drive organizational agenda for growth and performance. This calls for Functional Mastery combined with Personal Leadership.
Advanced Management Programme enables the participants to manage this dual development agenda.
Programme Objectives:
The Advanced Management Programme is designed to empower senior executives to achieve both personal and professional transformation by fostering strategic thinking and decisive action.
The programme aims to:

360-Degree Feedback (360 DF) is a progressive system of providing feedback to senior leaders. The AMP uses a 360DF tool by a leading Global organization. The results are useful for them as they review how their critical stakeholders have experienced their leadership. The report provides a measure of their leadership impact vis-a- vis a global competency framework. The results are kept confidential. The 360 DF tool will be administered online by the vendor, and results will form part of an Individual Development Plan (IDP) for each participant.

Ashok Thampy
Professor – Finance & Accounting
Professor Thampy’s areas of interest are Corporate Finance, Financial Risk Management, Industrial Economics, Banking, and Regulation. His current research is in Corporate Finance and Banking. He teaches corporate finance and banking in the MBA and executive education programmes at IIMB. Prior to joining IIMB, he was at the Department of Finance, Bilkent University, Turkey. He has also held visiting positions at the Department of Economics at Santa Clara University, USA, and the School of Business, Economics and Law, at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Sourav Mukherji
Professor -Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management

Sourav Mukherji teaches post graduate and doctoral level courses at IIM Bangalore. His expertise is in Organization Design and his research interest is in the area of sustainability and inclusivity. He has worked with IBM and Oracle in product management functions (1993-1998) and for the Boston Consulting Group as a strategy consultant (2002-2003). Professor Mukherji is an avid follower of sports, is an amateur runner and explores means of transferring lessons learnt from sports to management.

P D Jose

Professor Incharge – New Campus
Professor Jose taught at the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad. He now teaches core courses on Strategy and electives on Corporate Environmental Management, Sustainable Enterprises and Learning from Corporate Failures at IIM Bangalore. He is a visiting faculty at the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. He was earlier a Fulbright Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, and Kenan-Flagler Business School, North Carolina.

Ananth Krishnamurthy

Professor Ananth Krishnamurthy’s research focuses on data driven decision making and analytical technique. Topics of interest include supply chain competitiveness, logistics, biomanufacturing, and energy supply chains. His research has been supported by government agencies as well as industry. Dr. Krishnamurthy has served as the Director of the Center for Quick Response Manufacturing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include – Design and Analysis of Supply Chains, Warehousing and Logistics, Biomanufacturing, Energy Supply Chains, Manufacturing Systems and Competitiveness, Quick Response Manufacturing, Queuing Theory, Stochastic Models and Optimization, Simulation.
