Programme Overview

Business Storytelling for Leaders is an Executive Education programme from IIM Bangalore designed to help senior leaders, managers and entrepreneurs use storytelling as a strategic leadership capability. In a highly disruptive AI-driven VUCA environment, leaders who communicate with clarity, credibility and narrative power create stronger organisational alignment, influence stakeholders more effectively and inspire teams to drive meaningful change.

Storytelling is no longer just a communication skill; it is a powerful business capability that shapes decisions, builds trust and strengthens leadership influence. The ability to frame ideas, communicate strategy and create compelling executive narratives increasingly differentiates influential leaders from competent managers.

This Business Storytelling for Leaders programme aims to help participants develop storytelling as a strategic leadership capability for executive communication, organisational influence and business growth.

Designing and delivering CXO-ready presentations that influence high-stakes decision-making.

Pedagogy

This programme follows a highly experiential learning model, where insight is reinforced through structured practice and real-time application.

Delivered in-person, approximately 50% of the learning time is dedicated to simulations, role-plays, case analyses and live business challenges drawn from participants’ contexts.
The design incorporates structured peer feedback and facilitated reflection to deepen learning, accelerate behavioural change and strengthen executive influence.

Programme Director

Professor Padmini Srinivasan
Professor  Padmini Srinivasan is a faculty at the Indian Institute of  Management Bangalore. She is the Chairperson Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability & Executive Education.
As a faculty at IIMB, her teaching and research interests are in the areas of Financial Reporting,  Communication & Corporate Disclosures Corporate Governance and Risk Management. As part of the executive education, she has designed and conducted programs for a number of organizations both in India and abroad in industries such as Banking, Power, Infrastructure, banks  and others. She has offered board level programs for independent directors as well as executive directors. 
Before joining IIMB, Dr. Srinivasan worked in the industry for more than fifteen years in various positions in Finance, Treasury, Planning, MIS and Accounting. She also serves as a Board Member .   
 
Sandeep Das
Sandeep Das is a leadership coach, best-selling author and a global speaker. After graduating from IIM Bangalore, Sandeep built a distinguished corporate career spanning over 15 years. He served as Director at PwC—one of the youngest to do so—and later as Global Foresight Lead at Mars Wrigley, where he advised senior leadership on strategy and long-term growth.

As a leadership coach and founder of ‘Building Leaders for Tomorrow’, Sandeep has facilitated more than 100 leadership teams across the world in the areas of Business Storytelling, Negotiation, Executive Presence, Personal Branding and Strategic Thinking for Marquee clients.

Sandeep is also a prolific author and thought leader. He is a best-selling writer of 6 books. One of this books, ‘How Business Storytelling Works’, was on the bestseller list for 40 successive weeks and is now a prescribed book at IIM Bangalore and IIM Lucknow.

He is an international keynote speaker having been invited to speak on Storytelling, Negotiation and Strategic Thinking at conferences in Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC, Berlin, Amsterdam, Oxford, Miami, Atlanta, Singapore, Dubai, Bangkok, etc

Programme Charges

Programme Fee
INR 1,06,500/- Residential (+ Applicable GST) per person for participants from India and its equivalent in US Dollars for participants from other countries. 

INR 90,000/- Non Residential (+ Applicable GST) per person for participants from India and its equivalent in US Dollars for participants from other countries.

Nominations received with payments on or before 29-Oct-26 will be entitled to an early bird Discount of 10%.

Group Discount
Group Discount of 5% percentage can be availed for a group of 3 or more participants when nominations received from the same organization.

Please Note

  • All enrolments are subject to review and approval by the programme director. Joining Instructions will be sent to the selected candidates 10 days prior the start of the programme.
  • The programme fee should be received by the Executive Education Office before the programme commencement date.
  • In case of cancellations, the fee will be refunded only if a request is received at least 15 days prior to the start of the programme.
  • If a nomination is not accepted,the fee will be refunded to the person/ organisation concerned.
  • A certificate of participation will be awarded to the participants by IIMB.
