Programme Overview
The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming organisations and becoming increasingly embedded in business decision-making. Across industries such as healthcare, finance, law enforcement, and many others, AI is reshaping how businesses operate and create value. Yet, many of them are not adequately prepared with the administrative structures needed to oversee AI-driven decisions and their outcomes.
As AI adoption accelerates, boards, audit committees, risk functions, and executive leadership are grappling with the challenge of balancing technological innovation with effective governance. Establishing ethical boundaries while ensuring transparency, safety, accountability, and alignment with human values has become essential as AI systems increasingly influence organisational decisions. Consequently, AI is no longer just a technology issue. It has become a board-level priority that requires the same level of scrutiny as financial, cyber, and strategic risks.
While boards do not need to become AI experts, they must develop sufficient AI literacy to ask the right questions, oversee management effectively, and strengthen the implementation of AI initiatives. Designed from a boardroom perspective, this 3-day executive programme equips directors and senior leaders with the practical understanding needed to address emerging AI challenges and enable the responsible adoption of AI within their organisations.
Programme Objective
The programme is designed to provide an interactive, boardroom-oriented learning experience that emphasises practical governance dilemmas, peer learning, and executive decision-making.
It equips participants with the knowledge and understanding required to strengthen the board’s role in governing AI within their organisations. Participants will explore mechanisms that promote fairness, transparency, accountability, explainability, and human oversight while developing an actionable roadmap to integrate AI into existing governance and risk frameworks.
