Programme Overview

The rapidly evolving geo-political landscape demands Executive Presence at the workplace. Leaders are expected to show commitment, clarity, and conciseness in communicating matters of importance. In an increasingly complex world, communicating to employees within the organization and to stakeholders externally calls for a versatile and dynamic communication approach.

For this to be seen as genuine, consistent, creating a culture of impactful leadership must be seen, heard and experienced across the organisation.

This programme will demonstrate how historically, organizations have navigated these shifts, and how you can prepare to build your presence through shared values and goals within the organization thereby exhibiting Executive Presence.

Testimonials

  • Executive Presence is about creating value and impact without relying on designation, extending beyond personal branding to physical, virtual, and social presence. Simple changes improved how I was perceived at work. Publishing my first tech blog on Medium also boosted my visibility internally and on LinkedIn, supporting my transition back into a technical role after 15 years in management. The overall IIMB experience, from peer interactions to campus exposure, was enriching and perspective changing. If you want to move from holding a role to truly having a presence, this program is worth it.

  • Thank you, Prof. Deepti, for conducting the program. I got a very different perspective on Executive Presence and would slowly try to think about the aspects and implement them in my leadership style going forward. The case studies gave different perspectives to look into a problem. Overall, it was a wonderful three-days which I spent here.

  • The 3-day Executive Program held on campus was an enriching and highly engaging experience. The sessions were well-structured, combining strategic insights with real-world applications that resonated deeply with our group. The faculty brought immense clarity to complex topics, and the interactive format encouraged active participation, peer learning, and thoughtful reflection.

One of the standout aspects was the collaborative environment that fostered open dialogue and cross-functional learning among participants. The case studies, group discussions, and hands-on exercises helped connect theory with practice in a meaningful way.

While the program has undoubtedly provided a strong foundation, it also highlighted the importance of regular follow-up and structured interventions. To sustain momentum and drive long-term impact, periodic touchpoints or refresher sessions with the group would be valuable. These interventions would help reinforce key concepts, address evolving challenges, and maintain the network and collaborative spirit that was built during the program.

Overall, it was a highly positive experience that delivered both immediate value and a clear roadmap for continued development.

  • Attending the course on “Executive Presence for Impactful Leadership” has been a truly transformative journey. Under the exceptional guidance of Prof. Deepti Ganapathy, whose insights into executive presence were both powerful and practical, I was able to reflect deeply on my own leadership persona.

Adding further depth to the experience were Prof. Saurav Mukherjee’s enlightening lectures on Organizational Behaviour, which offered a fresh lens to view people and leadership dynamics. His dissection of case studies was nothing short of brilliant—bringing theory to life in the most engaging manner.

A special mention must go to Prof. Chetan Subramanian, the star of economic thinking, who demystified finance and made complex economic principles feel simple and accessible. His teaching style is nothing less than magical.

Beyond the classroom, the atmosphere of the institute itself is a teacher—it instills discipline, inspires reflection, and offers countless unspoken life lessons. The entire experience was a complete and holistic immersion in leadership, learning, and personal growth.
