Programme Overview

The global economy is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by rising conscious consumerism, regulatory shifts, and investor expectations aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Companies that fail to embrace sustainability risk losing customer trust, facing compliance challenges, and falling behind in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Yet, despite widespread commitments, the reality is stark – most sustainability initiatives fall short. For example, a Bain & Company study, conducted among over 300 large companies engaged in sustainability initiatives, revealed that a staggering 98% of such initiatives fail. One major factor contributing to the failure of sustainability initiatives, as highlighted in numerous other studies, is a lack of understanding of how to translate sustainability goals into practical, measurable actions that seamlessly integrate into business operations.

This leadership program is designed to bridge that gap. By focusing on actionable frameworks, real-world case studies, and systems-thinking approaches, we equip leaders with the tools to drive meaningful change. Whether navigating carbon markets, engaging in sustainable innovation, or aligning business growth with climate responsibility, this program empowers leaders to turn sustainability from an obligation into a competitive advantage. In short, the program aims to prepare leaders for a net-zero future.

Programme Objective

The course is designed with the following specific objectives and learning outcomes:

1) Learn how to translate sustainability goals into tangible and measurable actions and integrate them into operational decision-making of a firm.
2) Understand how carbon markets work and how to devise strategies to navigate through it.
3) Integrate the UN SDGs into the operations of a firm.
4) Assimilate ESG performance metrics and assess a firm’s performance against those metrics.
5) Conduct carbon footprint analysis of a firm.
6) Set and achieve net-zero targets.
7) Design and implement circular supply chain.
8) Develop innovative approaches to tackling sustainability challenges.
