Programme Director
Prof. Apurva Sanaria is a faculty member in the Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management area at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). With a PhD in Organizational Behaviour from XLRI Jamshedpur and nearly two decades of extensive corporate and consulting experience, he brings a rich blend of academic rigor and practical insight to leadership development and innovation in organizations. At IIMB, Prof. Sanaria teaches courses including “Organization Design (OD)”, “Leading Change & Innovation (LCI)”, and “Managing People & Performance in Organizations (MPPO)”.
Apurva Sanaria’s corporate background includes leadership and consulting roles with renowned organizations such as Kantar Group, ICICI Group, Future Group, and T.V. Rao Learning Systems. His last corporate stint was as “Group Director – HR & Organizational Development” at Kantar-IMRB (WPP Group). He specializes in corporate consulting services that encompass Employee Engagement Surveys, Culture Assessment Surveys, and Leadership 360 Degree Feedback processes. He has facilitated strategy formulation workshops as well as executive training sessions on Entrepreneurial Leadership, Strategic Thinking, High-Performance Teams, and Managing Conflict & Collaboration. His research has been published in respected international journals and conferences, reflecting his thought leadership.
Prof. Sanaria’s consulting & training experience spans a diverse range of industries including automotive, pharmaceuticals, banking, manufacturing, and technology, where he has partnered with marquee clients such as Bosch Rexroth, Tata Group, VVF Group, Lifestyle Retail, Chennai Petro Chemicals Limited, and many others.
