Programme Overview

The Senior Leadership Management Programme is designed for mid-senior career professionals aspiring to transition into senior management and leadership roles. This executive management programme at IIM Bangalore develops the mindset, strategic capabilities and leadership skills required to navigate a rapidly evolving business environment. Through a blended, case-based learning approach, participants gain a strong foundation in general management, strengthen strategic decision-making, develop digital and cross-functional capabilities, and learn to lead organizational change effectively. The programme enables aspiring senior leaders to build confidence, agility and business acumen while learning alongside experienced professionals from diverse industries.

On pursuing this programme, participants will be able to:

Professor Sushanta Kumar Mishra is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Before joining IIMB, he had served IIM Indore in different roles, including the Dean (Research), Dean (Programmes) and a member of the Board of Governors.

He teaches courses on organization design, leadership and OB to MBA and PhD participants. He has been teaching a course on Leadership at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, for eight years. He has
developed and delivered programs for several senior executives in Government, Public and Private organizations. Before joining academia, he has worked for more than a decade in industry.

He works on topics on leadership, politics, team dynamics, and wellbeing. His research has appeared in top-tier journals, including the Financial Times’ Top 50 Journals. His work has been acknowledged in many global forums including the Academy of Management. Professor Thampy’s areas of interest are Corporate Finance, Financial Risk Management, Industrial Economics, Banking, and Regulation. His current research is in Corporate Finance and Banking. He teaches corporate finance and banking in the MBA and executive education programmes at IIMB. Prior to joining IIMB, he was at the Department of Finance, Bilkent University, Turkey. Rejie’s research interests are in the areas of Corporate Governance, Strategic Management and International
Business. Rejie has published in journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Research, Journal of International Business Studies, Long Range Planning and the Asia Pacific Journal of Management. He has presented his research work at several international conferences. Rejie teaches courses in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance for the MBA program and Executive education programs at IIM Bangalore. He is also currently serving as a member of IIMB’s Board of Governors.

Module 5:  Emerging Areas: AI for Managers, Environmental Social and Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Government & Society.

Capstone team project on business: Presentation and evaluation in the final module

Who should attend?

This programme is designed for professionals with 10 years of total work experience and 3 years’ experience managerial / line leadership experience preferred. Applicants must have a graduation with a minimum 50% marks.

Award of Certificate

A part time programme certificate of completion will be awarded by IIMB to participants upon successful completion of the programme and satisfying programme requirements.
