Programme Overview

Strategy and Leadership in VUCA World is an Executive Education programme from IIM Bangalore designed for senior leaders, CXOs and business executives who are responsible for leading organisations through volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA). The programme helps participants strengthen strategic thinking, leadership capabilities and organisational resilience to build sustainable competitive advantage in a rapidly changing business environment.

Today’s organisations operate in a VUCA world characterised by disruptive technologies, global competition, changing customer expectations, evolving workforce demographics and increasing stakeholder demands. Business leaders must continuously review their strategies, develop agile leadership capabilities and create resilient organisations capable of responding to uncertainty and change.

Organisational complexities have further intensified due to digital transformation, sustainability priorities, talent management challenges, localisation, innovation and rapidly changing technologies. Leadership therefore requires a new set of competencies that combine strategic thinking, organisational development, executive coaching and people leadership.

The Strategy and Leadership in VUCA World programme aims to help senior leaders, CXOs and business executives strengthen their ability to lead organisations in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) business environment. Programme Director

 

Professor P. D. Jose

He is a Professor in the Strategy Area at IIM Bangalore. His teaching includes Competition and Strategy, Strategy and Public Policy, Business and Sustainability, Learning from Corporate Failures and Strategy through Simulations. He has held visiting faculty positions at Cardiff Business School and the University of Gothenburg’s School of Business, Economics and Law.

Professor Jose has extensive consulting experience with private, public and international organisations and has facilitated strategy workshops for several Indian and multinational companies. His research and executive education focus on strategy, sustainability, public policy, corporate governance and organisational competitiveness.

Professor Gopal Mahapatra
 
He has more than thirty years of corporate, consulting and academic experience in leading: Strategic HR, Organisational Transformation, Leadership Development, and Executive Coaching. He is a Doctorate (FPM) in Management from IIM, Bangalore & Post-Graduate in Personnel Management & IR from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi. He is trained by London Business School in Strategic HR, and Total Quality by JUSE, Tokyo, in Coaching by Marshall Goldsmith and a Certified Executive Coach by BCC, ICF, Results Coaching and Ericson Coaching; also Future Search, PDI, Mercer, CEB and MBTI by Dr Linda Kirby, APT.

INR 1,26,500/- Residential and INR 1,10,000/- Non -Residential (+ Applicable GST) per person for participants from India and its equivalent in US Dollars for participants from other countries.

Group Discount
Group Discount of 5% percentage can be availed for a group of 3 or more participants when nominations received from the same organization.

Please Note

  • All enrolments are subject to review and approval by the programme director. Joining Instructions will be sent to the selected candidates 10 days prior the start of the programme.
  • The programme fee should be received by the Executive Education Office before the programme commencement date.
  • In case of cancellations, the fee will be refunded only if a request is received at least 15 days prior to the start of the programme.
  • If a nomination is not accepted,the fee will be refunded to the person/ organisation concerned.
  • A certificate of participation will be awarded to the participants by IIMB.
