Coaching employees and teams is emerging as a critical management and leadership skill. The certificate programme in Leadership Coaching is a part-time programme designed for all managers and leaders who seek to develop effective coaching skills. The programme will enable them to catalyze individual strengths, improve motivations and abilities within their teams, encourage resilience, and achieve high performance. Leaders who coach help organizations gain a competitive edge in a dynamic world.
This practice-based programme draws on expert faculty from IIM-Bangalore and Leadership That Works (LTW). With significant experience in leadership development, coach education, and executive and transformation coaching, the faculty amalgamates practical and academic concepts and integrates them with a practice of coaching to mobilize coaching practices within the leaders.

After the successful completion of the programme, the participants automatically qualify as IIM-Bangalore EEP Alumni and can obtain ICF certified ACC level coach accreditation.

Programme Framework and Contents:

The programme is designed as a highly participative, interactive, and reflective learning journey. The content is directly relevant for coaching organizational employees in a dynamic, evolving, turbulent, and global world. The blended programme design comprises three modules of in-person sessions spread over eight months, with virtual group coaching and learning sessions in between.
The experiential pedagogy focused on the art and practice of coaching is designed to help develop coaching effectiveness, blending personal, professional, and coaching skill development. At the end of the programme, all participants will be able to develop their coaching presence and effectiveness, thereby enabling them to coach and develop others effectively. Participants will also gain actionable insights on developing a coaching culture within their teams.

Programme Objectives:

The programme will help develop each participant individually, increasing their self-awareness to create an effective coaching presence.
The modules will familiarize participants with effective coaching approaches and methods. Participants will learn to define scopes of coaching engagements and outcome expectations and increase commitment to the transformation of their clients. They will learn to use appropriate methods and tools to support their coaching process. The programme’s rigor will also enable them, with additional inputs, to obtain a well-renowned international coaching certification.

Programme Directors

With three decades of industry work experience, Dr. Debolina is now a faculty in the OB& HRM area at IIM. She has worked as CHRO for 6 years in 2 multi-national firms, including Schneider-Luminous as VP-HR, Admin, and CSR. She has also been a Board of IIM Indore member and serves on the board of several NGOs. She has had in-depth experience across all facets of HR functions across multiple locations, cultures, and organizations (MNC, private sector, and entrepreneurial start-up). Her industry experience spans heavy engineering and electrical switchgear, IT software services, alcobev, and apparel retail. As an ICF-ACC certified executive coach with multiple certifications in the facilitation of behavioral training and certified in psychometric tools, she has facilitated coaching and training sessions for mid-management and leadership executives. Debolina has substantial experience dealing with large international stakeholders in organization growth initiatives, change management, mergers & acquisition, and multicultural environments.
Debolina has completed her Fellow Programme in Management (Industry) from IIM, Indore, PG from IIM, Bangalore, and BTech from College of Engineering, Pune. Apart from her substantial industry experience, Debolina has also published several case studies with Harvard Business Review and academic research articles with top journals over the last 8 years.
Vikram Bhatt is a leading coach educator, purpose coach, and organizational development consultant. A much sought-after mentor coach, Vikram is focused on helping coaches across different niches expand and enhance their practices. Over the past two decades, he has coached leaders and executives across industries toward realizing their potential. He is the founder of Leadership That Works, India. , an organization focused on evolving the narrative of how coaching should evolve to meet the emerging needs of the planet and its people across cultures. 
Vikram believes in bringing his authentic presence toward transforming awareness and helping leaders enhance their impact in natural, sustainable ways. He has helped coach C-SUITE leaders and influencers during difficult transitions, discover their purpose, and build a culture geared towards ownership and leveraging diversity across multiple geographies, industries, and educational institutes. As a Past President at ACTO (Association of Coach Training Organizations), Vikram has been featured as one of the top 10 promising executive coaches in India 2023 (Featured in Asia Business Outlook magazine)
For over 25 years, Sonali, an organization development consultant and coach educator, has been partnering with individuals and organizations in experiencing high levels of effectiveness. She aims for exponential, non-linear growth for herself and her clients and specializes in Leadership development. She is a core member of the Leadership That Works India team and has contributed to helping grow LTW towards a significant presence within India and globally.
She is the Director–Training at LTW India and oversees excellence in delivering coach education. Sonali has logged in over 4000 hours of coaching hours with leaders in Europe, Fiji, India, Korea, the Middle East, North America, Pakistan, Singapore, South America, and Thailand. She is certified in using various psychometrics and brings a transformative capacity to generate data driven, actionable insights. She blends process work, experiential learning, Neuroscience, Somatics, Appreciative Inquiry, and Non-violent communication philosophy, and approaches to transformation.

Target Audience

The programme is suitable for all mid and senior-level professionals, ideally having 15+ years of industry experience and who are working in any function or role. The programme will immediately impact all people managers and help them build this vital skill in their leadership arsenal. However, individual contributors who would like to develop their coaching skills for stakeholder management may also benefit from this programme.

This is a Residential Programme and the Fee is INR 7,40,000 + GST (applicable rates) per participant to be payable in four instalments as per the following schedule.

* Residential charges include Boarding and Lodging on Campus during inperson Modules.

Important Details

Key Benefits:

Participants will be able to initiate coaching within their team and organization right after the first module. Mentoring and support will be available as participants apply themselves to using their coaching skills.

Online Sessions:

In addition to the above in-person sessions, there will be 35 virtual sessions spaced out equally between the modules. These sessions will include online sessions Mentor Coaching, Peer coaching, and coaching practice sessions.
Online modules SET 1: (18 sessions of 1.5 hours each)
These sessions will deepen coaching skills and application across various cases and situations. The online modules are meant to strengthen and expand on what has already been discussed and practiced in the in-person module.
Online modules SET 2: (17 sessions of 1.5 hours each)
This module will focus on deepening and clarifying coaching practices and supporting the leaders in building an effective coaching presence.
