The idea of sustainability is no longer just limited to nature and the organic environment we see. The holistic concepts of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) are becoming increasingly popular in the domain of businesses & administration as the impact on the environment can be traced back from governance systems and even human behaviour. Hence, the concept of ESG paves a more inclusive way of tackling the challenges of sustainability in our modern world.

IIMB’s Executive Education department has successfully completed the 3rd batch of ESG – Management reporting and communication over the course of the last six months. The EEP department is delighted to announce that the ESG cohort of 2023-24 has crossed over 100 participants thereby building a league of climate leaders for a greener future.

The programme directors of the ESG programme Prof. Deepti Ganapathy and Prof. Prerna Wadikar inaugurated the latest (3rd) batch of this 3-day workshop on the 8th of January 2024.

Some of the biggest takeaways are better seen as written testimonials from our 3rd batch participants:

“After completing the program, I have a much better understanding and appreciation not only of the ESG framework, but also how different aspects of an organization’s functioning can impact and contribute to it. Another important takeaway is the need to go beyond the organization, its eco-system of partners and help them implement these frameworks. It was a great course; the faculties were wonderful, and the participants were also enriching.” — Ex Director, Interweave Consulting Pvt Ltd

“It is a very well-designed program for a diverse group of participants. Prof Prerna and Prof Deepti have a deep understanding of ESG/ climate change communication and can connect all the applied aspects very nicely. This has made the program and the subject very interesting. The teaching methodology is a combination of various tools that made it easy for us to grasp the intricacies related to ESG.” — Independent Director, Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd

“As ESG is the buzzword now and the current climate change issue is a threat to the planet, this program helped me understand the fundamental concepts on ESG along with the various framework prevalent in the global arena on this subject. This program will further help me implement these frameworks in my present/future organizations.” — Lawyer and Lead – Special Projects and Public Affair, Tide Platform Pvt Ltd India
